Clearspring Japanese Agar Flakes Gelling Agent
Clearspring Agar Flakes are a versatile vegan alternative to gelatine. These flakes work as a gelling agent & their neutral flavour opens up the world of cooking to you. Make vegan desserts like Panna Cotta & jellies or try your hand at making homemade jam! Prepared using an authentic traditional Japanese slow method. A great staple to add to your pantry for when you’re in the mood to make something special!
One heaped tablespoon of agar flakes for 250ml of liquid. If the liquid you are using is acidic then more agar flakes would be needed. Sprinkle the Agar over the liquid in a saucepan before heating. Heat without stirring, then simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the flakes dissolve. Pour into a mould & cool to set.
